I just got home from my mission trip to Trinidad and I am in the process of moving. Things have been pretty crazy in my world, thank goodness the Lord is there to listen to me and give me peace about everything. What perfect timing He has in my life and in all of our lives. My trip to Trinidad was exactly what I needed. Even with all of the craziness in my life, I still found time to leave it all behind for a week and go share the Gospel with the amazing Trini’s overseas. What a wonderful trip it was! We were able to go out into the public schools every day and tell students from 5 years old to 12 years old the story of Jesus and the message of salvation!! But wait, there’s more… we also held Vacation Bible School at the local church we were working with where the kids got some intense Jesus time and had lots of fun! Although this trip wore me out, and half of us came down with a nasty cold on the way home, I couldn’t help but think about leaving in January. I’m not going to be able to just ‘come home’ and feel comfortable in my own place. My new home will be in places I don’t know with people I don’t really know…. woah. I totally have to trust God in this!
I’m finally recovering from being sick and now I have to finish packing/getting rid of things. Fun times. I guess this is a good time to get rid of all of the junk I’ve been meaning to get rid of for years! As I pack up and go through all of my things… it starts to hit me.. I’M LEAVING for a YEAR. It’s starting to become a reality to me. This is all I’m going to be thinking about/preparing for for the next 6 months. So this is where I am. I am trying to stay on top of things but I’ve been too busy to really work on getting all of this together, so the best I can do for now is update my blog and pray that the word gets out that I need some major support over the next few months!
One major praise is that my family and my pastor and church fully support me, unlike a few others that are going on this trip. Whether you have the support of one or many, God has chosen each one of us to be on this mission together and He will provide for all of us!
