My lovely squad and I made it to Johannesburg, South Africa safely Monday, September 10!! Praise the Lord for His protection and provision over us!! We stayed in Eikenhof Conference Center for a few days before leaving to Pretoria where we currently are now. I can’t believe I’m in Africa!! God has granted us beautiful weather, a GORGEOUS view of the stars, and sooooo much more. The majority of the parts we have been through so far are very Westernized. The gas stations, malls, and much more make it very similar to America. However, only a few miles away there are people living in hard conditions. No air conditioning/heat, no car, not many clothes, all the things that we see as necessities, are not present. The view of comfortable living is radically different between one part and the other. In both cases, there is a desperate need for Jesus Christ. And the glorious truth is that the Gospel is open for all!! John 3:16, “For God so loved the world.”I pray that wherever we are, and whatever we are doing, we will take the opportunities to share the Gospel. The Bible tells us in Mark 16:15, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.” The Lord has put a great desire in my heart to share the Gospel with the nations. Thank you for allowing the Lord to use you in this way. You have made this possible. Thank you for your prayers and support now and in the future.
This month we have the privilege of working with POPUP Ministries here in Pretoria. We have been ministering and caring for the children here and I have been so blessed. We have also been able to do some outreach within the community. The Lord did great things in Burgers Park last Saturday as our squad just sat and worshipped the Lord together. We were able to share the Gospel and encourage many there. Today we visited Kerus House of Encouragement Orphan Care Centre where we loved on and played with about 30 orphans. What an experience!! These children from ages 5 through 17, who have grown up without a mother or father, loved us so deeply. My heart was completely broken for them. I am so thankful that we will be visiting one more time. Please join with me as I pray for more conversations of God’s love and the Gospel.
I miss each of you dearly and pray for you often. I am so excited to see what God is going to do in and through my team and I throughout this trip!!
