Ignite Passion. Unleash Freedom. Go to the Nations. This is what my heart wants to do; for the world, for those enslaved by human trafficking, for the glory of The King. These three phrases are found on the website of the G42 Leadership Academy, and going to G42 is now officially the next part of the adventure the Lord is taking me on. Beginning in January 2012, I will be in Mijas, Spain for six months. During this time I will be immersing myself in the Lord’s Word, while also discerning, through the Holy Spirit, what I am called to do with my passion to fight human trafficking and modern-day slavery.
I absolutely love how the Lord works. Less than three years ago (barely two years ago, really) I couldn’t have imagined leaving my hometown for an extended period of time, let alone go to Africa, Asia and now Europe. There was a lot of human junk I had built up in myself that was keeping me from the life the Lord has called us all to; reckless abandonment and absolute surrender to His plans which are far greater than any plans we can make for ourselves. Yet instead of turning away from me, getting frustrated and leaving me on my own accord, the Lord kept beckoning. He continued nudging me, whispering softly that there was so much more He wanted for my life. I'm on a continuous journey to draw closer to Him, to hear Him more and to empty all of me so I can be filled with Him. I’m left speechless at how the Creator of the universe whispers to us all, loves us all, wants so much for us all. It’s overwhelming. It’s beyond imagination. It seems crazy at times. It’s exciting. It’s the wildest, and best, life we can possibly live; life in Him, through Him, for Him.
I know that every aspect of this upcoming journey is held in the Lord’s hands. I know He will provide every dollar needed to get me to Spain. I know He is already at work in every single person I will come in contact with and who will come in contact with me in order to pour out His love and truth. I know I will meet amazing people who are on a similar journey. It’s humbling and a privilege to see the Lord’s work in others.
