Hands.  They’re kinda funny, really.  They are a block of skin, blood and bones that then break out into 5 seperate appendages. Some are rough; some are smooth.  Some are large and some are small.  Some have the evidence of years of labor.  Some are raised in praise to the Savior.  Others haven’t met Him yet.
After the first week of working at Daughters of Cambodia, I’ve been reminded how our hands proclaim Christ’s love just as our hearts and words do.  I’ve been helping the Director organize her office.  Some of my teammates play with the children in the Daycare.  My team leader has been working on designs for possible future clothing styles.  Everything has been done through our hands.  Our smiles and verbal communication definitely reflects His love as well, but I think we often overlook how service, in so many different forms, can minister to others.  I think another phrase for “hands” could very well be…love gloves… 🙂
