Can I just have a raw moment of honesty?
My spirit jumps when I read things about this generation.
Ever since listening to a sermon about how THIS generation is the fourth generation and therefore will change the world, my mind has become more tuned to the thought.
We are part of the generation that will change the world.
Did you fully comprehend what I just said?
We are THE generation that
will CHANGE the world.
And we need to start acting like it.
It's time to lay down all of our selfish desires.
It's time to stop pointing our fingers and placing blame at those around us.
It's time to STAND up and do what God has created us to do.
I've been immersed in so many different cultures these past seven months.
Every aspect is so different.
The way they interact, how they eat, what they want out of life.
Their dress, their beliefs, their dreams.
Everything is varied and cannot be placed under one single category.
Except for one thing.
Each culture I have been in desires the same thing underneath everything else.
They desire OPPORTUNITY to succeed in their dreams.
They desire a CHANCE to step into what they want to make out of their lives.
They desire the ONE thing that America has.
Beyond the wealth, the technology, and the freedom, as Americans we have opportunity.
We have the opportunity to be influential in the arenas that God has for us.
We have wealth to help us get there.
We have technology to connect us,
And we have the FREEDOM to go after any desire we might want.
We are the GENERATION to change the world.
Funny thing about that is that without action there can be no movement.
Without surrender, there can be no progress.
And without faith, surrender would be meaningless.
All things work for the good according to His will.
That includes your life as well.
He has placed in you a God-given desire.
He has given you a dream.
It's time to stand up, step up, and take off towards that goal.
He will open the doors, He will guide your footsteps.
He will WALK with you.
We are the generation to make a change.
We are the generation to show the world how MIGHTY, MAJESTIC, and SOVEREIGN God is.
We are the generation that GETS TO give the GLORY to God as He pours out Himself upon these nations.
We are the generation that God is going to use.
But, we can never step into our callings if we don't get off the couch.
If we don't step out, and if we don't surrender our lives, our callings, and our dreams to the One who created us.
Step into what God has for you.
He's going to use you mightily.
And you'll NEVER look back wanting; that I can promise.
Be the change you wish to see in the world.
Be His hands and feet.
Help move a nation.
Help make a difference.
Step into your calling.
