Training camp is a week long experience of growing and being stretched in Christ. It is a week of surrendering expectations and running straight into God’s arms. I am not the same girl who left for training camp just a short week ago. The healing I have seen, the prophecies I have heard spoken over me and over those around me have shown me that our God is still working miracles today. I have been humbled by how little faith I had that God could heal the sick. Our Father has the ability to go above and beyond that which I would ask for, yet I rarely plead with him.
So, a little about the physical part of training camp. I have never packed and repacked so many times in my life! It is fabulous practice for the race. Needless to say, I am so excited to go on the race. Meeting my squad in person was such a blessing! It was amazing how God put us together on a squad to uplift each other. I don't want to share too much and ruin it for future racers. It is so much better to go in with minimal expectations, letting the mystery of it all work it's magic.
On Thursday they announced our teams. Let me tell you, it was like Christmas morning filled with anticipation. I am proud to announce to the world that I am on a team with six other amazing and godly women. Our name is Team Shekinah. Shekinah means “The settling of God’s presence” It is a Hebrew word with female attributes, we figured this would be fitting for an all girls team. The unity our team has already experienced can only be from God. I am so excited to do ministry with these women. So, now we wait in excitement for our launch date and location.
The pictures below are of Squad Wars, this is a competition between all the different squads, we also get to dress up and act a little crazy. 🙂 I love the people I have gotten to know this past week, this is Shari Scott
