Just wanted to send out a quick blog that I am here safe in
Malawi. It took us 12 days to get from Moldova to Bucharest, Romania to
Lilongwe, Malawi, but we are here!! We were supposed to arrive on the 2nd,
but buses not showing for two days, sleeping in a bus at two borders, and over
75 hours of busing later…we arrived in Malawi on the 5th! I want to
write a detailed blog about our insane adventures and the crazy things God
taught me along the way, but that will have to wait for another day once my
laptop is charged and I can sit down and write it all out.

But for now, we are safe and sound in Lilongwe, staying at Pastor
Harvey’s house. No electricity or running water, pooping in a hole again, and bucket
showers but we are in high spirits and I am SO STOKED for being in Africa! It’s hot, but there is no humidity!! We
have been told we are going to be pioneering churches…a.k.a. we will be
walking around, talking to people about Jesus, inviting them to church, and then
PREACHING at church. Holy smokes, this is what I have been waiting for.
Building houses, playing with orphans, digging holes, teaching English…it’s all
been awesome, but talking to people about Jesus and preaching in church…that is
what I have been craving. God is so good.

But the BEST PART, people speak English here!!! No more hand
gestures and charades for communication, we can talk! There is a local tongue
here called Chichewe (Cha-Chey-Wa), so we will be learning that for those who
haven’t learned English, but apparently a good deal of people do know English.

Not sure how often we will come to the internet cafe to get internet, but the good news is that it is possible! Miss and love you all.
