76 of us July racers, the biggest race group the World Race
has seen so far, are piled in with the June racers for training camp right now!
It has been one of those weeks where you hear some amazing messages and some
tough messages. We have been praying together, crying together, singing
together, dancing together, laughing together, and truly growing together. I am going to be honest; I had no idea what I was
getting myself into. The staff has been working to mentally, physical, and
spiritually prepare us for the race. We have bound our feet and hands and tried
to walk a great distance, we have eaten authentic food from the countries we
will be visiting which was less than appetizing, we have been told to pack our
bags quickly and sent out into the wilderness to make our own shelter, fire,
and cook our own food; it has been phenomenal. I am here with truly an amazing
group of people that I have learned to love, respect, and from the bottom of my
heart, consider family. If this is what I get to look forward to for the next
year of my life, I am in for one crazy ride with some amazing people!
