Friends and Family!
Hello there! I hope this letter finds you well. I
am thankful for this opportunity to share what’s been going on in my life
lately. As a senior at Oregon State University, I have been faced with the
decision as to what to do after graduation. As I thought through it, one
reoccurring theme was that I wanted to serve. I was not sure what that looked
like until a friend told me about this amazing opportunity with the World Race serving alongside an
organization called Adventures in Mission. It is a volunteer and ministry
opportunity backpacking for eleven months through eleven countries! I
applied and have been accepted!
I launch July 1st, 2010!
Throughout the eleven months I will be helping rebuild, provide food, spend
time in orphanages, provide support in refugee camps, lead kid’s camps, teach
English, and share Jesus’ love. These countries include Dominican Republic,
Haiti, Romania, Turkey, Mozambique, Malawi, a Pioneer through Africa, Thailand,
Cambodia, China, and the Philippines. I’ve discovered that I have a real heart
for youth and a love for those desiring to grow in Christ. During this trip, not
only will I be lending a helping hand, but I will receive training and be
discipled in various areas of ministry and missions.
I am so incredibly thankful for this opportunity that is before me and
trust He will meet my needs. Ultimately, my prayer is that He will do that
through you. Mostly, I am looking for prayer, but I would also be honored to
have you partner financially with me in this ministry. I am specifically asking
for five people who will commit to pray for me each day until I return. Also, I
must raise $14,300 for the year that goes directly to the World Race. This will
cover all my expenses while in the field. The great news is, if only fifteen
people pledge $50 a month for the eleven months, I am half way there!

I am very excited about what God has
in store for this next year! It is my desire to give as much as I can, but I
know there is so much I will learn! I would love to meet up with you and tell
you about this crazy trip around the world I am about to embark on! I hope not
only to be a blessing to those I serve, but also to you. I hope you will
prayerfully consider being part of my ministry. Thank you so much!
In him,
Natalie
