I just wanted to let everyone know that we made it to Thailand. After taking an overnight bus from Bankok we arrived here in Selapume at 5 a.m. a few days ago. That same morning we were told to pack for just a few days because we would be going to a Bible Camp. During the Bible camp we were encouraged to see the children being taught the Bible but were a little frustrated at not being able to speak with them. We did teach a few English classes though and that went pretty well. We are thankful that we have a translator this month so that there is a little bit of communication possible. We just got back from the Bible camp and aren’t quite sure what this next month will look like as our contact hasn’t really had a team before.
Please pray that we can be helpful and an encouragement to her. We don’t really know what kind of ministry she and her husband who is a pastor do yet but will find out soon. We do know He preaches on Sunday and that they work with children who live in Selapume. Oh the joys of language barriers! Also pray for strength as we are told that we will be staying up praying all night on Good Friday and that night we will be presenting our drama and some of us sharing our testamonies. Pray that I can be joyful and excited to be here this Easter as I really wish I could be with my family. Thank you for all your prayers. I will be better this month at posting blogs so that everyone will know more of what is going on.
