This is my teamy tara S. giving guitar lessons in English…

Tara is good…they couldn’t take their eyes off her. These children were rescued by a christian church up North after the cyclone. They were smuggled and brought north by a few obedient pastors.  It is hard to love on children and look into their eyes knowing that they lost their parents and everything they have ever know just a short six months prior.

the valley in the north. The yellow that you see are poppy fields. When we were in the north we were in the Golden Triangle (the most extensive opium producers and distributors in Asia).

the water buffalo are so cool…and dirty. sometimes they are so covered in mud that all you can see are their eyes.

School children walking home from class.

jim and deb, you missed out on beautiful grape juice. On our day off, we toured the Aythaya Vineyard.

It was founded by a German man, who swears by the white vino.

we left the village where we were staying early in the morning to do ministry in another village about 1 hour away. we returned to find the entire town under 4 feet of water. the out-of-season rains had drained from the surrounding hills and in a matter of 5 hours we had ourselves a hotel under water
