“Home is a place not only of strong affections, but of entire unreserved; it is life’s undress rehearsal, its backroom, its dressing room, from which we go forth to more careful and guarded intercourse, leaving behind…cast-off and everyday clothing.” Harriet Beecher Stowe

My name is Natalie Montgomery. I spent the first 18 years of my life in San Angelo, Texas, before going to Texas A&M University (following in my Paw Paw’s footsteps) as a second-generation Aggie. I have since moved to Dallas, and am a 24-year-old architect, fighting traffic in the thriving metropolis of Dallas, Texas. Each of these places has helped mold me into the person I can now say I am. Growing up in San Angelo was not glamorous to say the least, but the memories I hold, the relationships I built, and the love I experienced created in me a firm foundation rooted in God, and a desire to follow willingly and obediently in His path.

God has taught me so much through every relationship that I have known, but one in particular brought me to my knees. I believe God never gives us anything we cannot handle, but sometimes has to break us completely down to fully reveal himself to us. It was the trials of my brother, Hunter, in fighting drug addiction that stimulated me to truly understand and grow in my beliefs. Something about his pain and suffering humbled me. God began to cultivate a passion and desire in me to follow Him. My convictions and perceptions about life and love, in general, have been transformed by the Lord. I have begun to see God’s grace manifest in the lives of my family. I can safely say that I have witnessed a miracle.

I am immensely blessed to have so many incredible people in my life; people who I consider to be ‘on my balcony’; people I know I can turn to without a moment’s hesitation. My family is a huge part of who I am; my faith runs deep because of these people. My parents have devoted their every second to my brother and me, and for that I am truly thankful. I have three grandparents that are out of this world. Each one plays a special role in my life. Their love and support is something that I cannot live without. My friends are “beautiful” to say the least; on the inside and out. Their hearts and minds speak volumes about their incredible devotion to Christ and they live each day as a living, breathing examples of His immense love. They are an inspiration to me everyday.

As I have become more obedient in my faith I have strove to follow God’s will for my life. I’m willing to be a servant of God. There is no doubt in my mind that God has called me to work for Him. An admired, Godly man recently shared this quote with me, “If your dream does not involve changing the course of somebody’s eternal destiny, then your dream is too small.”-Todd Wagner I fully believe this and I hope that God will use me on this mission and in the future for His glory. Thank you for your interest in our missions. I ask again that you would consider supporting us monetarily and spiritually throughout the World Race 2008!
