I have been putting off writing this about me page because I am not sure what to say. I have never written a blog or done anything like this… so bear with me and I will give it a shot!
Hi my name is Natalie Mitchell. I come from a family of 5 and I am the middle child. I have an older sister, a younger brother, and my wonderful parents. I was born and raised in McKinney, Texas (right outside of Dallas). I love my family and I love Jesus! These two facts are what have brought me here today!
God is amazing and I am truly passionate and excited to be doing His work. God has really been working on my heart over the years. I haven’t always listened to what He is trying to say to me, but He is persistent and didn’t back down. He has been telling me that I need to do missions and go tell others about Him. I need to trust in Him fully and He will give me the courage to do great things! He has showed me that right now He wants me to go and tell others about Him even if it is not the “normal” thing to do. He has showed me that serving others is what I am good at and this is what He wants me to do.
Recently I have found that God really speaks to me through music. It was impossible to deny His calling, even though I questioned it at first, because God has a way of showing Himself over and over again until I agreed! One song that I feel God has placed on my heart is, “All The Poor and Powerless.” At one point the song says, “Shout it. Go on and scream it from the mountains. Go on and tell it to the masses that He is God!” He has told me that He will give me the courage and strength to do just that! I believe with all my heart that God will take me deeper than I have ever been and challenge me throughout this adventure, but He never gives us anything we cannot handle. I love God, I love missions, and I am ready to begin my adventure!
