On January 19th, I got accepted into the World Race. At first, the money wasn’t an issue for me. I didn’t think twice about it or bat an eye. Honestly, my naive self expected God to mail me a check for $15,000 and I’d be all set to go. I mean this is what God wanted for me, why wouldn’t he make fundraising easy?
Well, this perspective that I had changed quickly. I began to realize that I could not just sit stagnant and expect the money to start coming, cause it doesn’t always happen like that. I had to actually put forth effort (shocker right). Through my fundraising process, God has taught me to use my talents, use my resources and of course use Him to raise funds for this trip. God has given me all the right tools, I just needed to do my part.
With this being said, I am still working on raising money for my trip. I am still in need of around $13,000. This does seem like a lot of money, mainly because it is. BUT my God is faithful and I know he will provide.
My missions trip is going to be an unforgettable journey but I can’t forget about the journey I am taking getting there.
