Hey team,
For those who didn't hear, last week I was in a biking accident on my way to school. It looked a lot worse than it was because I landed on my face and got blood all over the sidewalk, but I have a phenomenal medical team and they say I'm going to live.
Phew. 😉
I did have to have surgery this week and, depending on how well it went, may need a round 2 (I'll find out later this month). Depending on how long recovery time takes, this may bump back G42 and/or nursing school, which will delay my African orphanage plans.
But is God still in control? Yes. And I'm learning it the hard way.
I'll be blogging about my inside scoop on the medical world and my continued preparations towards Africa on my new wordpress blog. He's a sneak peek of the post of the accident:
I had expected this summer to be fantastic, and in a few moments all of that was taken away.
But God will not be mocked. Out of these ashes will come great beauty, even if it’s not physical… and since when is that ever what He’s after, anyway?
Read it all here: On Scars and Wedding Bells
And if you're in the area, I'm not allowed to drive or go in the sun, so if you can handle a bloody face, I'd love company!
