Happy 17th Everyone!

Today has been a day of pure perfection and celebration, not just here in Guatemala but also back home in the States(Shoutout:Congratulations Heather and Burren! Your wedding looked absolutely beautiful, wish I could have been there to celebrate with y’all!) Hiked a volcano, roasted marshmallows over lava, attended the baptism of loved ones, crepes/ice cream dinner with the fabulous Radiant ladies then finished the evening watching the release of paper lanterns in Antigua square. A full day, but the best day!

But truly I’m writing this blog about the baptisms, such an awesome God moment that I wanted y’all to be able to share in.Today, we celebrated the baptism of Rafa, Doris, Thomas, Kaiden, Taylor and Ashley. Rafa and Doris are the parents of some of our English students, but deeper than just that their family is one, that as a team, we have just completely fallen in love with. Everyday our boys work side by side with Rafa on construction of the house. Doris comes to the youth center throughout the week; she greets each of us with such genuine joy, as if we were her own children. Their children, oh how they stolen my heart, each in their own special way. They are brilliant students that are just so eager to learn. I could go on and on about each one’s personality and gifts, but I’ll save you from that mile long blog post. All together a beautiful family!

Thomas, Kaiden, Taylor and Ashley: I have seen each of you grow in such incredible ways just in the month and a half that we have been here. Four passionate hearts chasing fearlessly after God, y’all are an inspiration! I am blessed by each of you daily and I consider it a privilege to be serving with y’all here, in Guatemala.
