Last week I was at training camp in Atlanta Georgia. During training camp part of the process involved setting up the teams that we will be spending the majority of our time with. We had different small group exercises that allowd the world race team to see how we work together. In the end my team ended up being Clara(team leader) Will, Chris, Lilianna, Carrie and myself. On our first outing together we toured the firehall in a nearby town. It was great to be able to spend time together away from camp.
I am really looking forward to the next 11 months with these amazing people. It was a great experience to go from complete strangers to family in such a short time and I know that what ever these months hold for us we will be bonded together like something I have never experienced before. My only advice to anyone thinking of joining the world race would be to come into this experience with an open mind and an open heart.
