It all happened when I was late. I was supposed to leave McKinney at 5 to get to College Station (CS) at 9 but of course that didn’t happen. I kept doing things and found myself still packing at 8. (1st miracle)
Next my mom and I debated whether I should take cash or not. “Whenever you travel you need to take cash” my mom said. How much? We went back and forth and settled on $100. (2nd miracle)
I headed out the door and found my gas tank a little more than a quarter of the way full. Should I turn left to get gas or right to get on the road and get gas later? I turned right. (3rd miracle)
As I was driving I got the idea to ask the Lord if He would get me to CS on what was in my tank. Normally it takes a lil over half a tank. Remember I only had a lil more than a quarter. You don’t have to be a mathematician to know those two don’t equal.
I called a dear friend and began to talk about what the Lord was doing in our lives. Then out of nowhere I asked, “Will you believe for something with me?” She hesitantly said, “yeeees?” I said, “I really want to believe that God will get me to CS with the gas in my car.” At this point it was sitting on the very last bar encroaching the gas light at any minute. We stopped and prayed together and truly believed God could do it. I even asked if the gas light would not ever come on.
As soon as we got done praying my gas light came on. Seriously? Ok maybe I should just focus on what is unseen(Jesus) and not what is seen(the light). I drove with the light on knowing that I was still 2 hours outside my destination. Yes 2 hours. I was an hour and a half from my parents and 2 from my friend Sarah in CS. I had another decision to make. Do I keep driving and risk being stranded in the middle of nowhere or trust that God is going to come through? I boldly and bravely chose the latter. (4th Miracle)
I began to pray like crazy for the next 2 hours. Yes you heard me 2 HOURS with the gas light on(ps I am not suggesting to try this at home) He had done it, over 100 miles on empty. (5th Miracle)
My car made the sound and I quickly exited. I made it to the ramp to see a glimmer of light! A gas station! The story would be incredible if I stopped there but it gets even better!
