Dearest Friends and Family,
I have gathered you all together today for the most exciting occassion!
I have a very important announcement to make…
On October 22n'd, Morgan Brooke Willett will be turning 22 years of age!
Yes, people! It is my GOLDEN BIRTHDAY!
Now, I know you are all just as excited about this as me, right!?
I thought so!!!
You see, there are 2 excuses, I have found, that are valid reasons for asking people for money:
1. I'm a missionary.
2. It's my birthday.
I have both excuses! That's 2 excuses to ask you for money!
Now, I know cash seems so "impersonal" these days….but NOOO, not to me!
Because of the money you've provided me with by supporting me on this journey;
I have had the privilege of praying over a baby girl, that had no hope. I watched the Lord begin to restore her health and saw her grow stronger each day.
I watched that girl's adoptive mother begin to trust in God. She was hindu, but saw the love and mercy of the one true God. She encouraged us to keep praying for her daughter. She had faith that our God would heal her daughter. By the time we left Malaysia, she wrote us each a card with scripture on it!
My team and I were able to shine light on a community in Malaysia that was entrenched in Islam. While we couldn't witness on the streets to the Malays, we were able to show the love of Christ through our actions. We were able to plant some valuable seeds in Malaysia, that I know the Lord is continuing to water!
I have been able to form relationships with the residents at the homeless shelter. These men don't seem to have much of anything to live for. They are able to see, through us, the only thing worth living for! We've been able to pour out the love and compassion of Christ onto them more and more through every conversation.
We have been able to pray over bars, adult stores, government, and cities.
We have been able to witness to people on the street from backpackers, to the homeless, aboriginals, and locals.
We have been able to bless so many ministries and churches by doing projects for them that they simply couldn't accomplish on their own.
I have experienced God in a whole new way. He is totally changing my thoughts and my attitude. It's not always an easy process, but I know it's so worth it!
It's only month 2 and I have seen so much growth in ministry and in myself.
It couldn't have happened without all of you!
I still have around $3,900 left to raise to stay on the field.
SO….WHY NOT SUPPORT ME/BLESS ME FOR MY BIRTHDAY!?
