After kicking off my last fundraiser (Adopt a Jar) I had so many people that couldn’t participate, but wanted to help pray with me. The idea behind the fundraiser was for people to adopt one of the jars with a prayer target on it for them to pray over for the month.
During the month that they have the jar, they can fill it up with change and little notes of encouragement that will all go into my journal. For those that have adopted jars, I will be picking them up at the end of February and readopting them out for March. This will have you guys praying over different prayer targets every month.
This gave me an idea to post my personal prayer targets here that I am focusing on each month. Myself, as well as a few of my mentors at church, pray over a different country I will be going to and whatever else God has laid on my heart to intercede for. So anyone that would like to cover me in prayer in the months leading up to my launch date, I would greatly appreciate all of the support I can get.
Prayer Targets:
February– Cambodia/ Many on my squad are going through times of tribulation. I know this is because the enemy is trying to come against those that he knows are being effective for the kingdom of God. Pray that each of us can be still in our faith while the world around us is spinning. This is a time for us to define who we are in our faith, by how we handle what comes against us.
March– Thailand/ Pray over Financial Provision for my squad. Each of us not only need to be fully funded, but we also have to get gear, vaccinations, and prepare for what will be happening here while we are gone. God is our provider and will supply all of our needs.
April– Nepal/ This month I want to pray over all of the leaders, mentors, mobilizers, coordinators, etc. There are so many people that I will be relying on while I’m gone. Some that are on the field with me, and some that will be stationed here in the states. Pray that God gives them guidance and wisdom.
May– El Salvador/ There will be a lot that we will miss during the year that we are gone. I want to pray over the families and loved one that will be here at home over this month. There will be times people won’t be able to reach us, times when we can’t explain everything going on, and times where we are very disconnected from one another.
June– Honduras/ My squad will be heading to training camp this month where most of us will be meeting for the first time. It will be our first exposure to what the next year of our lives will be like. Pray that God can begin to mold us into the team he needs us to be to be effective together.
July– Guatemala/ This month we will preparing to launch. That means leaving our families and comfort zones. This month is going to be a whirlwind of emotions and stress trying to make sure we are prepared for the next year of our lives. Pray for comfort and peace for every racer and their families.
August– Belize/ We will be leaving during the first week of August. Pray for traveling mercies to be will each of us and the power of protection as we move into our first country.
Some of these things are hard to think about, but making a battle plan and knowing that I have so much support behind me gives me peace. I know that I have so many people that are covering me and my squad in your daily prayers. I love each one of you so much and can’t express my appreciation for you enough!
