“Either a miracle has to happen, or I’m not leaving until October…”
These are the exact words I spoke Tuesday evening to my home group.
Its a blur, Tuesday is a blur. So many emotions, conversations, tears, but also peace in the midst of what seemed like chaos.
It all started when I asked my doctor if she would write me a prescription for 90 days instead of the usual 30. This went from
1. you have to talk to your insurance,
2. Yes I can do that. -Dr..
3. Insurance said yes
4. Then the doctor said “no absolutely no way..”
Alright, no big deal. I’ll just have to work with the company who supplies medication over seas.
Then when I checked with this company they will only fill prescriptions that are a 90 day supply.
cool. I’ll spare you the rest of the details, but the reality of the situation was if I couldn’t get a 90 script then I wouldn’t be leaving until October.
I was so confused. I was so hurt. Honestly, I found myself questioning if this is what I am suppose to be doing. Through the tears and questions I heard the quite whisper of a very familiar voice, “My plans are for you. I am working everything for your good.” and a peace like no other came over me.
I remember saying, “alright God, either a miracle is going to happen or….” I couldn’t seem to finish the rest of my thought.
When Wednesday morning rolled around I didn’t even think about the situation, and then I got a phone call.
“Kimberly (thats my real name btw) this is Dr.. nurse, she told me this morning she can and will write you four prescriptions for 90 days.”
Praise the Lord. A real life miracle happened in my very own life. Thank you God.
two take aways from this mess:
1. Miracles really do happen. Being anxious, nervous, and confused are okay, but you cant stay in that place. Give it to The Lord and continue to praise Him, because He really is such a good Father.
2. Knowing scripture is important. In the midst of chaos I am so thankful the Lord whispered those two very familiar verses that have been engraved in my heart throughout the years. Thank you Jesus.
If you are in the midst of chaos, listen to the whisper and TRUST that He is working everything for your good.
