We live together, pray together, eat together, minister together, and much much more. We are community. There is no room for the devil because we just wont allow it. We have team time, squad time, and we give feedback. We want to grow together and build each other up in the process.
All of these things I though I was ready for before launch and I though “oh, no big deal, its just community I got this!” haha that was a funny thought. From the moment I stepped on the first plane I was a hot mess. The race has a way of doing that. All of your stuff will come out. If it hasn’t yet, then it will soon happen. For me it happened in the first month. I did not feel like myself and I didn’t understand why all of my business was coming out of nowhere, I thought I had dealt with it all. Then we go to Nepal and we started debrief. Debrief is a time of processing and preparing for your next few months of ministry. It is a time to come together as a squad with our coaches and mentors to step into the next month refreshed and ready. I was tired of carrying all around of the guilt and shame that I felt for past hurts so I decided to leave it all at debrief in Kathmandu, Nepal. Now I am back and better than ever and I’m ready to rock this community life and go in for Jesus! Now, I’m not gonna lie, community is heck hard guys and sometimes you just want to run and hide out. You are together all day every day and figuring out when to have your alone time is a fine balance. Nothing on the race is ever consistent, so the minute you think your schedule is set is the moment is gets changed. You will find that the more you embrace it the more that you will grow. Get ready to just say yes and be willing to do the hard things. In community and in ministry.
We are entering into our second all squad month which is very rare for the race. Most squads only get one month. There is something different about Q squad and I believe we need another month so that we can step into whatever that is. Please pray for us as we go into our second moth of ministry. We are in a country that is oppressed by lies and is riddled with false gods and idols. The marketplace is colorful and the people are beautiful, but beneath that there are strongholds in place that the enemy has been allowed to have placed here. Last month was all about rest and this month it is time to move. So here we go!
