transition looks for me… that being said I also couldn’t post a blog with out
filling in the emotional blank spaces.
At the end of this blog I’m including more details about what I’m going
to be doing and how to get involved, so if you need that information feel free
to skip down…
filled lows and crazy rushes of nervous excitement. After four years I’m done working with the Junior High at
North Coast Calvary Chapel. I
cried a lot this month, at Bear’s memorial, while the students prayed to send
me off, alone in my office before one of my last services and even once randomly
when an old man talked to us at a restaurant. After that embarrassing display of emotion I told everyone that
my tears were just hanging out a little too close the surface. The last few weeks have been filled with
so much intensity and beauty, I’ve sobbed hard and laughed until I was wheezing
for breath. It’s been beautiful
and now I’m tired.

moments! Some of my favorites
include crazy dance parties with the students after services. I’ll never be able to hear “We Are
Young and “Call Me Maybe with out thinking of those nights! I still can’t believe that I got to be
in vocational youth ministry for 10 years. Now, I can’t wait to continue to disciple those students
through mission trips.
student’s didn’t know I was leaving yet.
One night we were all worshipping together and I was standing behind a
group of 8th graders. I
was sad, realizing already how much I would miss them when I left. In that moment I felt God say, “Morgan,
don’t be sad, you are going to get to lead them to Swaziland. Hearing that made my heart soar. I didn’t share that word with
anyone.
Just today, one of the students who was standing right in
front of me that night told me that he already marked Swaziland on his

2013 Calendar. This is not the
end!

umbrella of A.I.M. (Adventures in Missions), I will be directing the Steps Over
Swaziland (S.O.S.) program. I will
lead committed people on trips where we walk, yes walk, 121 miles across the Kingdom to support Care Points and
other NGO’s throughout the nation.
In addition, I’ll also be planning walks in different parts of the U.S.
to foster involvement and raise awareness of the AIDS pandemic in
Swaziland. My permanent residence
will still be in San Diego but I’ll be traveling a lot. S.O.S. is done in conjunction with
Liquid Worldwide, a non-profit film company who will be releasing a documentary
about Swaziland called Never a Neverland

love for you to be a part of this important endeavor! Would you be willing to be on my support team? I’m looking for a committed group of
people to pray for and financially support me on a monthly basis. My goal is to raise $3,000 of monthly
support by July 6th; this includes trip costs, my insurance and a
monthly stipend. I’m currently at
$725 in monthly commitments, which is a great start, especially considering I’ve
only been full time support raising for a week, but I have a long way to go this
month.
