One great thing about my life right now is that when I wake up in the morning I never know what the day will hold. One day last week, I started out the morning thinking I would spend the day counting beads at Night Light, instead I ended up spending hours praying with a woman who was having a huge crisis. She lives at Night Light and used to be a street walker and is now dying of AIDS. It was pretty spiritually intense but really wonderful to spend time and energy on that type of prayer.
Yesterday I started out the day, ready for a “normal” Sunday. Becka and I had planned on going to an English speaking church in Bangkok. We accidentally slept in (staying out till 2 am every night tends to cause that) but thought that it was worth going even if we were late. So we hopped on a bus for about 40 min then ran up to the sky train, stopping at one of the many quick, cheep and convenient coffee stands! After a ride on the sky train we walked about 1/2 mile to the church. We laughed about how in our previous life we would never walk anywhere, or travel for one and 1/2 hours to get to church. Oh the days of having my own car. Honestly I can’t remember what I did with my time when my life had convinces like a car.

We ended up being about 30 min late but thankfully the service was still going. It was such a joy to worship in my own language, and hear a sermon without the aid of a translator! After church it was off to the mall. The plan for the afternoon was to visit a water park and take advantage of the lazy river.

We met up with all the girls at Starbucks. Someone had found out that Gwen Stefani was doing a show that night. At this point in the year we all are pretty used to schedule changes, so we decided to go to the concert instead of the water park. It ended up being a blast! I love a good girls night out. The show was much better then I ever would have anticipated.
Thanks for those of you who have been praying for me! I feel like a huge cloud has lifted. This is our last week working with Night Light then it’s debrief at the beach and travel to Cambodia. As always, thanks for the prayers and comments, they are a huge encouragement!

(We were in the very back row, oh yeah!)
