
The last week that we were in the village of Sipi, I had
the privilege of traveling to another little town known as Budaka. My teammate,
Caley, knew of an orphanage there that her aunt and uncle’s church had helped
start, so we went to visit! It was definitely one of my favorite parts of this
entire trip. The kids were absolutely precious. When we first arrived, they all
came running and greeted us with a song. The whole time that we were there they
just wanted to be loved- they wanted to sit in our laps, they wanted to sing
songs for us, they wanted to take pictures, they wanted to play with my watch,
play with my hair, and just talk to us. Needless to say, they were amazing.
