I have to say the best part of Bolivia, was a place called El Jordan. El Jordan is a place where mothers go to learn the basics of daily life, and how to make different items to sell for a living. They are women who got off the streets, to have a better life for themselves and their children. They decided that living on the streets is no life at all, and they all want their children to have a better future.

The mothers learn to make different foods, clean up, take care of themselves, and make crafts like earrings, purses, bracelets, and much more. Their children learn many things as well. For most of them also have been on the streets, and that is all they know. At El Jordan they learn how to eat right, brush their teeth, learn their colors, shapes, and everything they can learn so it’s better for them in school. For most of them are behind in school, and some are either held back a few years because of lack of knowledge of the basic’s.

El Jordan is a haven for most of the children and their mothers. A lot of the mothers get hit or abused at home, the children see everything, and are even effect by the abuse as well. I love that El Jordan is a place they can all go, and just have a life. The smile’s I have seen on their faces made me so happy to be a part of all of it.

I will forever love El Jordan! Maybe one day I will go back and do much more once I get my degree in the health field.
