A lot has happened since the last time, I have blogged about the church project we have been working on. We have dugged a trench which will become one of the walls of the church. Along with the wall we had to dig 4 columns that are 3 meters down, 90cm/100cm wide. On the fourth day of digging, we were almost done with what we had to do. We were told that we had to fill in two of the holes that were already done and make three more in their place to make a total of five holes. The architect said that with four columns the church would fall, but with five columns the church would stand tall. Now at this point I had to really pray to God for help, because we were almost done and one person told us one thing, while another person told us something else. I had to step back and really see the big picture. That without five columns the church would fall. It took a bit of praying and time alone to really get the big picture. Also digging the three holes was easy and we were done in one day.

This is what we started with!!!!

This was after two days!!!

This was on the third day that we dug the four holes!!!

The fourth day, that we had to fix the holes to make five!!!

You can kind of see how deep it is!!!

Poppie!!! The sweetest guy every. He is our contacts father in law. He is our grandpa!!

3 Meters dow is a total of 9 feet. Very deep!!!

Building this church has really taught me a lot about patients and having a positive attitude. Patieints is something that I have been trying to work on for a long time. It is hard when you have been working hard all day your sore and you just want to call it a day. There have been many times were I have had to put on my positive pants on and just have a positive attitude. I have to remember that these people have been waiting for their church for 20 years. A little confusing and hard work is part of building a church. Rome was not build in a day, so neither is a church.
Working as a team, makes working go faster. We all decided that working in two’s is the best thing. While one person breaks up the hard dirt, the other helps dig up the loose dirt and put it in the bucket to be dumped out. We bring someone’s iPod every day and listen to music. It helps to stay positive and have fun at the same time.  A lot of people from the church help also. They want to be part of building their church, even when we ask if we can do it. The thing is we can only put the foundation up because; we only have enough money for it.

They still need $40,000 more to finish the building the church. They hope to finish it in two years. Our team prays every day that it will be done in a year.
