First day of working on the future church, was amazing. We all started at 8:30am. We were told to make a boarder around the cement wall on two sides of the land. Let me just tell you, I never thought I had it in me. I took the shovel and the pickaxe and went to work. Everyone was saying Molly you will have muscle’s by the time you are done. I was chopping the grass and roots all up and Kristen would pick the clumps up and put it on a pile. Papito Joanna’s and Fernando’s father in-law was helping us. Let me tell you he can really handle a pickaxe. He was going to town and made it look easy. It was very hard work but, it was also a great experience. I was doing work on land that someday will become a church were people will come to and pray. Also it didn’t hurt that we had a great view. The weather was great it was cool in the morning and the sun came out around 10:30am with a breeze, which was very welcoming. Sara came and gave us water and this juice that Joanna made that’s like orange juice, but made of tomatoes. Not like the kind we have, they are sweet. Luis and his family came and gave us bananas, and potato and plantain chips. It took us 4 hours to clear the area we were assigned too. We were all very proud of our self’s, and the work that we got done.

Before anything was started!

Had to make a boarde!

I worked so hard that day, we all did!

Suprise!!!!!!

Kind of hard on a monutain!

Wonderful people!! Abby, Molly, Sarah, Isreal, Ruth, Kristen, and Vicky
That night they had a great surprise for us. We walked up the hill and saw a machinery get rid of all the grass. In a way it made what we did worthless, but it was a blessing to have it. We all were happy to be breaking real soil. I can’t wait to do more of God’s work!
