Anything but… a vacation. Many
people have come up to me and said that this trip sounds like a big vacation. I
can see why they would think that. I am taking a year off of school to go
around the world to 11 countries, in 11 months. What they don’t know is, that I
am leaving all the comforts of home; loving family, warm house, a car that runs
and takes me to school. I am giving all that up for 11 months to
sleep in a tent
sleep in a sleeping bag along with spiders
living out of a daypack
air mattress as my bed for 11 months
small back pack, to travel to the villages and
towns.
I am giving everything up to
serve God and help people in third world countries. I am proud to be part of
the July 2011 “W squad” World Race mission trip. I know it will hard physically
and mental ally, and my strengths and weaknesses will be tested every day. I
will have to trust in my team mates to help me, as I too can help them in any
problems that come our way. We will be strong and help each other.
