Ministry can look different EVERYWHERE and in EVERY WAY…
Two weeks ago, I was spending time in the bars of Bangkok, Thailand. I was visiting with girls who were entwined in the life of prostitution to earn money for their family hours away. I met beautiful women lost in the world, longing to find hope.

Currently, I am spending time with pastors, believers walking in the Lord. I travel with my team from village to village or squatter camp to squatter camp encouraging pastors and the congregations in the Word of God. Lately, I spent time with Pastor Rico Caballero visiting the homes of church members. In some of the homes, a Bible study takes place every week. Aaron, Traci, and I went into the homes and were asked to pray for God to provide basic needs and heal the sick; soon enough, we found ourselves sharing the Word of God with them in an unplanned Bible study. God led us to share a different Scriptures in each house. God designed each message to touch the most inward places of their hearts. (Absolutely, wonderful – all because God’s hand was upon it…)
God is constantly revealing how ministry looks different everywhere – from revealing hope to the lost to encouraging walking believers. God is continuing to teach me to live my life in Christ’s reflection. Jesus reached out to non-believers, yet encouraged His disciples and other walking believers. In order for any ministry to be effective, I must be seeking God and asking Him where He wants me to be and what He wants me to do; therefore, I look at how Jesus spent time with His father in constant prayer and solitude, and I understand I am called to the same.
*I encourage you to read Aaron’s blog “John Ry” and Traci’s blog “Tuberculosis and Tears” telling the story about a little boy we met when visiting from house to house with Pastor Rico Caballero.*
