WOMAN OF FAITH

I met a lovely lady at the church we attend in Srikhoraphume.  Her friend brought her to church, which became a turning point of her life.  She has become a prime example of a woman of faith.

Later in life, she became a Christian and lost everything.  She had no job.  She had no house.  Her children even tried to kill her.  They did not believe in her ways or the God she put her trust in.  When she came home, her children would swing rods at her in hopes to destroy their own mother. The mother who raised them from birth.  The mother who cared for them when they were sick.  The mother who gave everything, so that they would live and be happy.  This is the mother they began to hate to the point she would fear her life when she passed them. She would spend nights at the church in order to feel safe.

Thankfully, she came to know the God who saves.  The God who cares.  The God who loves.  The God who calls you His own.  These are the truths that she clung tight to.

Even though her children do not come around, God has blessed her in ways she cannot imagine.  She has a house.  She has a shop, where she sells things.  She has a church family.  She gives thanks to God all the time.  Part of our team were sitting with a small group one night worshipping our Savior, when she came and placed  20 baht in each of our hands, as well as the others worshipping with us.  She truly sees that everything comes from God, and even though she does not have much – she still gives and trusts God will provide.

This is a woman of FAITH and TRUST!!
