Jesus talks about the rewards of having faith like a child.

My nephew Brayden and I were on a hike through the city of San Marcos.
We began by eating lunch in what looked like a treehouse, even though it wasn’t in a tree.
We began the journey by finding a stage to sing and dance on.
Brayden loves to perform “cart-wheels” while singing “Life is a Highway” from the infamous movie
Cars.
College students were playing Frisbee golf around us, but we hardly gave a blink to them.
We were consumed with having fun and ‘being’ with each other.
We walked through bits of woods, on roads, through buildings, anywhere we could go.
Not really being acquainted with the area, we began to feel lost.

Trying to find our car, we slowly walked in the direction we thought would lead us home.
  We took breaks often.
Brayden found people to talk to along the way.
He didn’t care what they looked like or what they were doing.
He even asked one guy, who pulled his earphone from his ear to listen to Brayden, what his name was, what he was doing, and why he had so many stickers on his arms; little need it know that they were tattoos all over his body.
It was wonderful to see Brayden truly desiring to know why people were doing the things they were doing.
It seems so simple, yet our lives are so busy that we rarely take the time to get back to the simplicity and meaning of life.
It was after the interaction with this guy that we found a water bottle on the side of the road.
It was completely sealed; however, I was still a little hesitant to drink from it, until Brayden told me that “God dropped it out of the sky for us.”
  (What a revelation?)
We were really thirsty, so I asked, “Why do you think God would do that for us?”
He responded by saying, “Because God loves us.”
  (What childlike faith?)
We began drinking the water that gave us “God-energy” to help us trek back to our car.

I sit here and ponder the truth behind the thoughts of a 3-year-old.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have such a simple mind to comprehend the truth that Christ gives us?

As things are dealt to me, I hope to:

1.
Take time to ask the simple and meaningful questions of life…

2.
Know that ALL things come from God – and maybe they did just fall out of the sky…
