Meet Team Undignified Pursuit.
The squad leaders: Tera, Andrew, and me (Molly Fae)! Along with our squad mentor Teresa and our coaches, Roger and Rozy, we make up the leadership team for Jsquad!
What’s in a name?? (let’s break this thing down)
Undignified- 2 Samuel 6:12-22. David was dancing, celebrating, rejoicing, going CRAZY for the presence of God and the return of the Ark of God to the main city. And when David was met with disapproval, his response was “I will become even MORE undignified than this to worship and praise my Lord.” And we want to be people that exemplify the same.
We can’t promise we will always have it together, but we can promise to be people who celebrate the Lord, with gusto, through the highs and lows.
Pursuit- Legggoooooo (let’s go), as my co-leader would say. Let’s go get ‘em. Let’s pursue Jesus, lets pursue the squadlings, lets pursue each other. Loving people is an action. An action we want to achieve.
On the path of pursuit we trip, we fall, we skin our knee and need God to bandage it up. But at the end of the day we will continue on this journey, we will stand back up, regain our stride, and seek more… More of the squad, more of each other, and, definitely, more of God.
So that’s us! We aren’t super heroes, we don’t have it all together, and we don’t have all the answers. But what we do have is an abundance of humor, some pretty killer dance moves, a tad bit more “on the field” experience, and a heck of a lot of help from God.
