If you had a friend who spoke to you in the same way you speak to yourself, how long would you allow that person to be your friend?
What voice is speaking? What voice are you listening to?
The World’s? No, that’s no good. If you let people’s perception of you dictate your behavior, you will never grow as a person. You will live a life of performance and disappointment.
The Enemy’s? Again, that is no good. The devil lives in darkness and thrives in confusion. He gains footing in your life through deceit and lies. He wants the worst for you.
Your own? Nope, still no good. Humans are fallen, easily swayed. We put our wants over the needs of others. We are broken, hurt; and hurt people hurt people.
Open you ears to the truth. To the voice that uplifts. To the voice that cares. To the voice that created the heavens and the earth. To the voice that commanded the sea still. To the voice that screamed “it is finished” and forgave us of our sins forever. Open your ears to the Lord.
His voice is speaking. Is His the voice you are listening to?
If you listened to what the Lord is speaking to you, how long would you still live in fear? In hurt? In confusion? In deceit?
He wants the best for you, He will lead you right, all things in his hands can be trusted, all things will work together for our good.
So… listen up.
