Month two squad leading in Nicaragua has taken me through a few ups and downs in terms of health, feelings, and fellowship-ing; but it’s been SO GOOD. I have been able to experience life with the entire squad during all-squad month & I feel so blessed by the one-on-ones I was able to be a part of at debrief into month 2!

We have had the ministry opportunity to go out into a TON of the local villages and pray for the people of the church, evangelize to those struggling, run clinics, speak at schools, play with kids of the community, pour into those who work for the ministry, and pour into our squad mates. We also took advantage of our month together by putting on events like movie nights, lip-sync battles, and open mic nights! Here is a little video I put together so you can catch a glimpse of our month 2 from the SQL point of view:

As you saw in the video, a bit of time was spent by either myself, or other squad members, being sick or injured. One squad mate in particular is named Ashley (you can see her in the back of an ambulance with Chiky and I at the 3:30 mark). She had an accident involving a hammock and a concrete floor that left her with a fracture in the lower part of her spine that went untreated for 3 weeks. She is now in the good ol’ U S of A going to physical therapy twice a day and improving, hoping to rejoin the squad in 6-8 weeks. KEEP PRAYING BIG PRAYERS FOR ASHLEY!!! She is an amazing woman and has chosen joy over defeat daily! And be praying for the rest of the squad as we are now fully immersed in our month 3 ministries in Honduras, that we be fully committed to the ministries and that we remained fueled by the joy of our Lord!

P.S. Here is a fun little picture of Chiky and I with Ashley outside of the ambulance that took her to the airport!
