Take an abstract painting. When most people see it hanging on the wall, they see a mess. They see colors clashing and running together. They don’t see the beauty in what’s hanging right in front of them. They question its existence and placement. They see chaos and miss the artistry behind the color choice.
But the artist. He sees it all. His eyes see the beauty and value of the work hanging on the wall before him. He appreciates it. He created. To him, it’s perfect. Priceless. Completed.

Now just for a moment I want you to picture God as The Artist, and ourselves as the painting. Like the painting, to most people on most days, we look like a mess. We come off as chaotic and incomplete. We question why. We cannot see the value in His choices. We only see the mess.

But God, The Artist, He sees value.
He sees the work of His hand. He sees the beauty in His creation. But most of all He sees the beauty in the becoming.
He doesn’t see a mess. He sees a masterpiece.

I think often times we forget that. We get so consumed by the mess, we forget The Artist doesn’t see what others see. His eyes are trained to see treasures. He sees a work of art being brought to perfection. He doesn’t get overwhelmed in the process. He knows it is priceless.
Our Creator sits with us exactly where we are at. He meets me. He meets you. He meets us, and then brings us to completion. His masterpiece. His work of art. His perfect one.
What an Artist.
