So now I’m getting ready to leave the Dominican Republic and I can’t help but be surprised that I have felt so at home here. The people here have opened their homes and hearts to us….perfect American strangers. They have taught me what it looks like to love your neighbor as yourself and live in actual community..
There is always time to spend with us.
There is always “enough” food for us.
There is always a chair for us to sit and visit for a while.
The biggest thing that I keep praying is that the Lord will bring people to water the seeds we have planted and ultimately that He would grow it. I just want them to know and hear the whisper of their Father. I really don’t have much more to say…
See you soon in Haiti.
“And looking about at those who sat around him, He said, ‘Here are my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of God, he is my brother and sister and mother.’” Mark 3:34-35
