{The World Race: Month 6- Cambodia}

          This month I was placed in Phnom Penh, the capitol city of Cambodia. My team and I worked with a small orphanage of around 30 kids. Most of the children are boys between the age of 10 and 15. We did morning and afternoon sessions teaching English, bible, games, and music every day. On our off days we went to the killing fields, where the genocide took place in the late seventies, and took a day trip down to Siem Reap to see Angkor Wat. We also got to do some other ministries around our area, such as visiting and praying over a skating rink in one of the malls that is a hub for sex trafficking of young girls. We sat and watched beautiful 13 year old girls skate around the rink alone, looking around as men sat behind the glass walls on bar stools surrounding the rink and watched them. I also got especially close to three little girls who live down the street from us in a little scrap metal shack. Every day as we would walk by their house on our way to the orphanage they come running down the road with huge smiles and even bigger hugs. My eyes have been opened to so many things so far, and I'm looking forward to what Africa has in store in the next three months. Thanks so much for all of the prayers and support. It is definitely noticed and appreciated, and it keeps me going when the days get rough! Off to month 7 – Rwanda!
