My team of 6 will be placed at a ministry site this month that is run by missionaries from Jacksonville, FL. We will be working with children, doing feeding stations, and maybe some construction on the large childrens ranch that they are building. As far as I know, I will have access to internet the first month (hooray!).
The sessions here at launch with the World Race staff have been very informative and great preparation. We have talked about the importance of working well together as a team and understanding the differences in peoples personalities. I am very blessed with how well my team gets along. We are all very easy going, fun, and up for anything. God had His hand in all of our team formations.
I went to Passion 2013 in Atlanta last week and it was absolutely incredible to worship and learn with 60,000 young adults who have true passion to make a difference with our generation. The week focused on raising money for slavery and sex trafficking victims, and by the end of the week over $3,000,000 was raised for the End It Movement. I would encourage everyone to go to www.enditmovement.com and get involved. I can not wait to work with some of this type of ministry throughout this year.
Thanks so much to everyone who came to my going away party, it was the best send off I could have asked for. I am surrounded by prayer and support from so many wonderful people. Thankful for all the blessings that they are in my life.
