I can’t believe that its month 5 already! For this month I’ll be in Albania.
So to sum up the past few months here’s a list of what I’ve learned. Why 11? I don’t know it just seemed like a good number 😉
1. Smiles are universal. Head nodding and shaking are not. (Bulgaria and Albania)
2. You really can fit everything you need plus more in one 60 liter pack.
3. You will get stared at wherever you go. Even by sheep.
4. Even the smallest most mundane tasks are ministry.
5. You will gain or lose weight. Embrace it. Its another sacrifice you’re making for the Lord this year.
6. There is always enough food. You aren’t going to starve.
7. You’re always a missionary. Even on your off day.
8. Squatty potties aren’t as scary as they sound.
9. Some days will be harder than others. That’s when you can rely on your team for strength.
10. Its not about me.
11. Jesus loves everyone! No matter their age or financial position.
