Time has flown by since my last blog update. I have driven across the country twice, watched a cat, gotten lost in the country, shared a sleeping bag with someone I just met, found a new family, washed some dishes, got sunburned on the beach, and held a baby since then.
People keep asking me about Training Camp and the truth is, I just don’t know what to say. For sure, it was one of the hardest weeks of my life. I was challenged in every way: mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Here’s a few things I learned:
1. There is no limit to the amount of knowledge a single person can learn and be challenged with.
2. I can’t do burpees; even under the threat of someone else doing them for me.
3. My breaking point is much closer to the surface than I thought it was.
4. The Holy Spirit is working in ways I have yet to experience but that have always been open to discernment.
I’m not half the person I thought I was, nor am I half as horrible I believed I was either. There’s something about Training Camp, that makes it impossible to lie to yourself or anyone else around you. I’m grateful for this growing experience that I shared with both my squad and my team. Please check out my team by clicking on the link on the left; they are all amazing people and I am blessed to have to the opportunity to spend the next 11 months with them.

Here’s a pic of my whole squad trying not to sink the dock.
I am also grateful to all of you. Together you have made this amazing journey possible. I have now reached my second goal in fundraising and as a result I will be officially leaving in less than a month. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I can’t honestly type that enough times. However, I would be remiss to leave out my fellow team members who have not yet reached this goal. We must have raised $7500 by June 30th in order to leave on the race. Some of my team members have not yet met this goal and I would hate to have to leave without them. Please consider making a donation to those on my team who have not yet reached the goal. You can view both my squad and my team via this list.
There is yet another opportunity for you to help me in my final goal by purchasing this t-shirt.

Go to this website: www.booster.com/miranda-world-race Hurry, there’s only 2 weeks in which to make the purchase so that the proceeds go towards my World Race!
God bless you and keep you until we meet again!
Love,
Miranda
