Gal. 5:1
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm,
then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
I’m not sure that this blog is going to make a lot of sense,
But these are a few of the things that God has been bringing up in my life that
I’m working through. What I have found to be true in my own life is that you can’t
really believe something until you challenge the very foundation of what your belief
system is based on. Being spoon fed theology is all fine and dandy but when the crap hits the fan, and your world crashes, you have nothing to stand on. I’m
going to ask you these questions, but I’m not going to give you any of my
conclusions……. Welcome to a piece of my mind J
If good works do not produce righteousness, then do bad
works produce unrighteousness?
What then is the standard by which we are judged?
If our new covenant is not based on laws, but freedom and
love, why is the church so bent on controlling people’s behavior?
If obedience to laws and good behavior could produce the
relationship that God wanted to have with us, then what would be the propose of
a new covenant?
Faith expressing itself though love is the standard for the
new covenant. If I live under the shame, or pride, of my behavior, am I able to
walk in faith?
Is Obedience without the complete freedom to do otherwise,
any proof of love?
Since the time of Adam and Eve, our world has been ruled by
a notion of right and wrong. The last two+ years of my life, I have lived in a
very unconventional way. Both by the worlds standards, and by much of the
church. But I haven’t been basing my decisions off of right or wrong, It’s been
life or death. I do things that bring me life, and life to others. I’m choosing
to eat from the tree of life. Through this whole time God has been unveiling to
me his desire for us to be truly free. And if I have enough faith to walk in
this freedom, then the love that I give him is love from a pure heart………..
