Well after not really knowing where we were
going to be this month, God opened the doors for us to come to Lutugino
Ukraine. We are staying with an American missionary family here, and basically
just partner with them and do what they do. It has been a really good time. The
weather here has been very nice. I feel like its fall back in Minnesota.
We have been doing a lot with the schools
here. Lutugino is not a very big town, but there are three different schools.
So in the beginning of our time here we did presentations for the kids about
our trip. Basically we just showed pictures of the countries that we have been
in and talked about our experiences there. They were very interested in it and
it went really well. That opened the door for us to be able to get together
with the kids outside of school, hang out, and do other stuff like play guitar,
soccer, counter strike, and other stuff. The other day we had a bunch of them
to the house and hung out for a while then had some snacks and talked for a
while. We were able to share some of our testimonies with them and share the
gospel. It was a really cool time.
Ukraine is that the young people are starting to think for themselves. Religion
and tradition has a very strong hold here and it traps people in useless
routine and blinds them to the way that God is working and wants to work. That
is starting to change though, and I can see it in the young people. Especially
in the churches that we visited, but also in the schools too.
