Our time in Romania was definitely a lot different than other months. We stayed in the village of Ville Tecii along with our squad and some teams from another squad too. So there was like 80 Americans in one village. We stayed with a Christian family there and got to pour into them during our stay. I was able to work around the place and help them with some projects. That was rewarding for me because I like that kind of thing. Anyway the village was really cool. It was kind of a step back in time with people farming the hillsides with horses. Romania is a beautiful place. The hills are amazing. I would wake up early every morning, sit on the hillside, and watch the sun fill the valley. It was a good time. Another cool thing was to have some teams from other squads around us. It was nice to meet some new people that haven’t been around us all year. It kind of brought a fresh perspective on life.
After our time in Ville Tecii we went to Brasoff for a conference that the World Race put on. All the World Racers that are on the field right now and a good-sized group of alumni were there. It was a good time. They put on sessions for and things like that for us. It was a very eye opening time for me. A lot of things that I have learned this year started falling into place as far as how they fit into my life.
