Dear Reader,

Graduating with the class of 2016, I often find myself looking back on my life when I was younger. The memories I have are of my mother planting the seed of Salvation as we went on many mission trips together. Growing up with a strong Christian background, I’ve always felt a calling to reach out to the unreachable. For as long as I can remember I’ve always dreamed of one day fulfilling the calling God’s leading me towards.

As life went on, it seemed my calling wasn’t going to happen. I had drilled in my head, that I had to be the perfect college athlete. Recently God changed my way of envisioning my future.

A few months ago I was informed about the World Race: Gap Year, which is a program where people 18-22 years of age travel around the globe to three countries for a total of nine months; spending three months in each country.

I never in a million years would have thought God would give me such a great opportunity to take my next step and trust completely in Him.

I will start off in Central America, spending time with the locals in Guatemala; jump across the globe to the only country landlocked in South Africa, Lesotho, and finish up my journey in Southeast Asia to spend time in Cambodia. On this journey, I will have a team of people my age, who had the same dream as I did and are just as eager to serve God’s people. From orphanages to ministering to people stuck in human trafficking, God will allow us to heal the broken and plant seeds in them just like my mother did for me.

First, I would like to ask for your prayers. I would not be able to do this without God’s support. I would also like to ask for your support financially, as I raise $14,000. I can not do this by myself. As I take my step into this God-given journey, I am trusting God 100% that he will provide every single financial need I may face.

Thank you so much for support. I am so excited to see what God has planned for my next step in my faith.

2Cor. 4:8 – We do not look at the things which are seen but at the the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
