Hey there friends (and strangers that might have stumbled across my blog), and welcome! I have to warn you that I have no experience writing blogs, so hang in here with me while I figure this all out! Well, let me start by introducing myself! My name is Mikaila Pidgeon, I am 18 years old, and live in San Ramon, California. *Disclaimer: I know there are certain stereotypes that people think of when they hear someone is from California. I’m sorry to disappoint but no, I do not live next to someone famous, do not surf, don’t have blonde hair, and do not tan*. But anyways, below I’ve collected a list of interesting, quirky, and general facts about who I am! And since pictures are fun, I’ve included some of those too!
1. The Lord of the Rings are my favorite movies. Hands down
2. I have wonderful parents. This is them going paintballing for their anniversary, and skydiving for my mom’s 50th birthday. Need I say more??
3. If you ask me to hang out, and say it includes food, I am in.
4. These are my beautiful friends, whom I love dearly! They are the best people, and I couldn’t imagine my life without them! We’re weird, crazy, and get into the best shenanigans together! (Ex. Impromptu pinterest parties, movie AND games nights, eating, and yeah! …I know what you’re thinking… what wild teenage hooligans).
5. I love chocolate, ice cream, and dessert in general; but the true way to my heart is through coffee.
6. This is my best friend, who coincidentally also happens to be my niece.
7. I love the little things in life, meeting new people, trying new things, and going on adventures!
8. I have 2 super weird older sisters, and together they make life all the more fun. They love and support me through everything, and I couldn’t ask for better ones.
9. I love to sing and play guitar.
10. These are my amazing grandparents! They inspire me so much and I am so thankful for them in my life! They all live on the east coast, so I don’t get a chance to see them as often as I would like. But if you are reading this now, I just wanted to let you know how much a love, miss, and appreciate all of you!
11. I have a bad history with keeping my pet fish alive. I honestly have no idea why, they just never last that long! The shortest amount of time is one night, and the longest is currently in progress at 1 month and counting (lets cross our fingers with this one)!
12. I recently got to be the maid-of-honor in my sister’s wedding!! (Whoo!! Chelsie and Tony are married! Still so excited for you guys!)
13. I am a professional pinterester (self-proclaimed). I love pinterest. If you have not discovered it yet, I would highly recommend it.
14. I am also blessed with 2 amazing brother in-laws. They respect and love my sisters, and are also both hilariously weird individuals…and therefore, fit in perfectly with my family (Sensing a theme here?).
15. I was a ballet dancer for around 5 or 6 years. I unfortunately stopped this year, but still love the whole art form and am thankful that I got to experience the hard work and dedication that it takes.
16. I am a HUGE Red Sox Fan.
17. And last but not least, I love Jesus! He is my father, my friend, my lord, my savior, and so much more! He never ceases to amaze or surprise me, and have loved growing closer in a relationship with him over the years. I am beyond grateful for how he has transformed my life, and how he continues to do so everyday! I’m so excited for this trip, and to see all he has in store for me and everyone else!
