This shirt basically says it all…

But I guess I’ll give you a little more glimpse into the life of Mickey Wingrove.

First, real name is actually Michael, had the choice to choose a nickname when I was a tot and of course picked Mickey after the infamous Mickey Mouse and has stuck ever since and I have never looked back!

I just graduated from University of Wisconsin Stevens Point with a degree in Communication and Religious Studies. Having pretty broad majors I was unsure as to what I wanted to do after school which inevitably brought me here, which became a blessing in disguise.

Some fun facts about me:

  • 110% pumped that school is done, loved the college part just not the whole class part
  • I love to play all sports and may be a little competitive… 🙂
  • Adventurous, spontaneous, love change, and love to see new places and experience the unknown
  • Can’t stand routine although can be comforting at times
  • Outside-Sun-Me=fun/relaxing…unless you’re from Wisconsin where the sun only comes out when it feels like it. In that case you need to have thick skin or a lot of layers.
  • I was an introvert growing up but have developed into a pretty solid extrovert with still a little taste of introvertness (yes I just made that word up)
  • Love to just chill and watch movies…can’t wait for Transformers 3 (had to plug it)
  • This is my first ever blog! Proud of it too, never was a blogger or twitter, we’ll see how I do
  • Want to know more just ask!

Quick little testimony/upbringing:

I was raised in a stereotypical Christian home going to church every Sunday and praying before every meal. I am the youngest of three at a staggering 22 years old; I have two older brothers, Mitch-26 and Matt-28. With a household full of boys my parents had a breeze raising us…or maybe not.

I didn’t really know what it meant to truly follow Christ until high school when I became more involved in my youth group. It’s here where I recognized the importance of having a relationship with Christ, rather than just believing or following some religion.

When I came to college, this is where I really got to own my faith and walk it out. I became involved in our campus ministry (Campus Crusade for Christ) and the local church and stayed connected with my home church during summers. During college is where I started to understand myself and my Creator and develop an intimate relationship with Him. As I grew older God continually put on my heart the passion to send the Gospel to all ends of the world. Now here I am 🙂
