Just love them like Jesus, carry them to Him
His yoke is easy, His burden is light
You don’t need the answers to all of life’s questions
Just know that He loves them and stay by their side
And love them like Jesus…..
-Casting Crowns-
The chorus of this song has been the song of my heart all month. It’s my first thought in the morning and my last thought before I go to sleep.
The first two weeks we were here in Chincha and working in Tambo de Mora I was totally overwhelmed with all the possibilities of ministry. The people here need food, water, shelter, bathrooms, medication, bug spray, clothes, are more. They need a relationship with Jesus and they need to be loved with the crazy kind of Jesus kind of love.
While I’ve been here in Chincha we have dug trenches, replaced tarps that people are using for houses, taken children to the hospital, taken medication to a few families, taken food, bug spray and clothes to families.
We had the opportunity to show the movie “The Passion of The Christ” in the plaza and 11 people accepted Jesus into their hearts and they are being discipled, individually, at the church where we have been staying.
We’ve loved on and played with hundreds of children and gone to war with some Satin trying to bring us down.
I’ve seen my teammates healed of allergies, lice and every kind of intestinal problem available.
We raised close to $850 to build another church here in Chincha which is more than half of what they need.
Now we are going to the next village and we are bringing the crazy kind of Jesus kind of love with us again. I will never have all the answers to all of life’s questions but I don’t have to. I”ll just love them like Jesus and He’ll take care of the rest.
Next stop is the Jungle…please pray for a safe trip and we travel. Thank you all for your prayers and support!
