And we’re off…. I’ve packed my bags and my long awaited journey around the world has finally begun. I think I have packed anything and everything that you could possible need while traveling the world. My luggage is 90 lbs total!!!
It hadn’t really hit me that finally the beginning of my trek around the world until I was chatting with a young girl on the plane (8 years old or so) and she asked me “where are you going?” and I said “I’m going to Peru.” and she just gave me a silent, blank stare and said “I”m going to Michigan.” I almost laughed out loud. I can’t believe that on Saturday I will on a Plane to Lima! Crazy!
Peru is our first stop. We will be spending most of our time in a mountain town called Chincha.
Chincha was almost completely destroyed in the earthquake this summer and the Peruvian government has decided not to rebuild. The people of Chincha do not want to leave there beloved home.
I don’t know exactally what we will be doing when we get there but I will be in touch very soon! Thank you all for all your prayers and support. I”m looking forward to sharing everything the Lord is doing with y’all.
