team verse. Acts 20:24 “..I consider my life worth nothing to me, if
only i may finish the race & complete the task the Lord Jesus has
given me-the task of testifying to the gospel of God’s grace.”
like it speaks louder to me now. When we are stripped of all of our
false security blankets. comforts, friends, family, routines, familiar surroundings,our
cars/jobs/phones, our future plans/goals/dreams & everything else
we attempt to take control of….God reveals MORE about who we really
are & who He really is. We are left naked before Him, just like the
day we were born. In total surrender to Him, i’m finding more joy,
peace, & fulfillment than i ever have & i know that it can only
come from Him. Only He can satisfy the very longing of our souls. I
knew this to be true in my head & at times in my heart, but now it
is permanently in my heart.Hey i’m stubborn, i learn the hard way
usually. I usually have to fall flat on my face to surrender to Him.
But He knows that & He patiently & persistantly persues us with
an unfailing, gracious love. With arms opened wide,always ready to accept us. Hope you enjoy my poem:
My flesh is so weak yet in Your strength there’s nothing I can’t do
I want to tell the whole world how precious my Savior is to me
That He willingly sacrificed His sinless life so that I could be free
I don’t live for money, what i want, or my own life dream
People desperately chase after these thinking they are more than they seem
Use me Lord to touch the lives of the broken, needy and lost
Who should we thank for our freedom? And what was the cost?
My life is worth nothing unless it glorifies You
To be accepted and worshipped by man is not what i live to do
My desire is to exalt Your name and make You known
I look back on my life and see how much I have grown
To be transformed by the Almighty Creator is such a beautiful sight
Giving God all of the credit because it’s Him who made my paths right
Is it possible for me to be righteous apart from Christ, and pure?
If it was, then Jesus Christ’s death on the Cross was not necessary to endure
He was bruised, whipped , tortured and crushed so that you could be God’s friend
Yet He lovingly took the nails, despite knowing that many would still reject Him in the end
Do you really think you can find a greater love than this?
You can try to search the world for happiness and bliss..
But you will only result in a great hole in your heart, like an abyss
I beg you, to please surrender your life to Jesus
The only One who ever claimed to be God and the King of the Jews
He wishes that no one should perish and wants to give you Eternal life..
He’ll redeem you, restore you and make you a new creation, isn’t this Good News?
His grace, mercy, peace, forgiveness, unconditional love, wisdom and joy will overflow
The moment you accept Him as your Lord and Savior, never a greater love will you know
He promises to write your name in the Book of Life, never to be erased
And you can look forward to celebrating in His presence forever,in His warm embrace!
